Jaclyn Bermudez - Soprano




Jaclyn Bermudez's most recent and current appearances include MIMI La Boheme with the Kölner Philharmonie, and BARONIN FREIMANN Der Wildschütz with the Oper Leipzig/ Musikalische Komödie. 

Jaclyn studied at the Manhattan School of Music and is the recipient of the Rose Bampton - Sullivan Award in New York, in 2018 the Staatstheater Kassel's Young Talent Award and in 2019 the HNA Volksbühnen Prize. 

After her first experiences in the opera studio of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, she was an ensemble member at the Hagen Theater from 2011 to 2013, where she performed, among others, MIMI, MICAELA, DONNA ANNA and in the TITLE ROLE Susannah (Floyd). 

In 2013 she moved to the Staatstheater Kassel, where she played roles such as TATYANA, ROSALINDE Die Fledermaus, MERAB Saul, WANDA Die Grossherzogin von Gerolstein, GRETEL, MARY LLOYD Die Herzogin von Chicago, ANNE TRUELOVE The Rake's Progress, LIU, FREIA Das Rheingold, GERHILDE Die Walküre, GUTRUNE Götterdämmerung as well as the TITLE ROLES in Antigona and Jenufa

Guest roles took her to many opera houses around Germany. These included the Staatsoper Hannover, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Staatstheater Nuremburg, Theater Dortmund, the Schleswig-Holsteines Landestheater, Theater Krefeld Mönchengladbach and Musiktheater im Revier, Gelsenkirchen. 

On the concert stage, she has appeared with the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hagen Philharmonic Orchestra. Most recently she toured with the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz. 

In 2024 she sang the European Premier as NORA in Stephen Paulus's new opera The Postman Always Rings Twice for Theater für Niedersachsen.
